May 26 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm CDT
Use the power of meditation and yoga principles to create structure and focus in this time of uncertainty.
This 8-session series is presented by Michael G. Stuart, Certified Mindfulness Coach, and John Blattner, PhD, licensed psychologist and Registered Yoga Teacher, who will lead participants through a Mindful Meditations session each week via video conference. Each session is structured to include a meditation component, focus on a different theme or challenge, and incorporate yoga breathing and/or movements that can be done easily in your workspace — whether you’re still heading to the office or working from home. The goal of this program is to help participants navigate this ‘new normal’ and find balance even with daily (sometimes constant) changes in routine.
In this program, you will learn:
Yoga principles of breathing and movement to improve productivity & resilience during your workday
Instructor-led meditations to help you regain focus
Physiological and psychological impacts of meditation & yoga, why they work, and how you can make them work better
Small group sessions help participants feel connected, with an individualized structure for feedback and sharing
Application to real-life scenarios showcase how these practices can help mitigate challenges faced in daily life
Facilitated via video conference, so you can join from anywhere
About the Instructors
Michael and John not only hold advanced degrees in their respective professional fields, they are also each certified in various aspects of coaching and instruction.
Michael Stuart has completed 100-hours of Mindfulness Teacher Training from the Teach Mindfulness program, accredited by the Society of Holistic Therapists and Coaches. Through this course, Michael learned key techniques not only for improving one’s own personal mindfulness practice, but also how to share this knowledge with others in a meaningful and impactful way.
John holds a PhD in psychology and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) having successfully completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Alliance. This unique background enables him to speak both to both the physiological and psychological impacts of mindfulness and yoga principles.
Incorporating both holistic and scientific approaches creates a meaningful and tangible experience that participants can truly apply to their every day life.
